“I gained a qualification during a global pandemic.
That was pretty surreal.
I’ve missed my friends of course, and going to watch live music. One of the things I find the hardest about this situation is that the spontaneity of life has been taken away.
I started seeing Benji after we bumped into each other by chance at an Erykah Badu gig, but that’s just not the sort of thing that could happen at the moment.
I hope once the lockdown is over we can keep the sense of community and camaraderie we seem to have found in these difficult times. I worked in mental health for several years, and it’s refreshing to hear people talk so openly about it. Everyone’s had their ups and downs, but in my group of friends we’ve been open about it in a way we haven’t before.”
