“Lockdown. What to say. A period of mass confusion and solitary confinement accompanied with a regular Boris rendez-vous. I felt uneasy and confused at the start, not knowing if my lockdown would be short, long or permanent.
I started cycling into town with goals of documenting my side of it with my camera, that’s what kept me sane, being out and actually discovering London. If anything it helped me realise what matters in my life and who, to differentiate necessity from need or greed, simply being alone with my thoughts and having to understand myself and who I am as a person.
I found peace in K-town, especially in the nature, it kept me grounded. Hampstead Heath has been a blessing, to have that much nature in the middle of a concrete jungle. A big reality check, but most importantly, a good escape from the city and the noise that comes with it.”
